Best Ways to Consume Kratom

Kratom users vary in the way they choose to ingest this potent herbal supplement. While those in southeast asia choose to just chew it or brew it as tea, users in the western world consume the powdered straight up with water, or mix it up with other sweetened beverages or pastries to mask its taste.

The popular toss and wash method of ingesting kratom has been explained by the website Kratom Times, among the many other ways of consuming Kratom beverages.

“Another popular choice to consume kratom is the toss and wash method. But even if this method is very effective, not all users can perform it correctly. And when you don’t do it right, the toss and wash method can cause discomfort and gagging. Good news is that you can add kratom to many recipes. Thus, you’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits of kratom without its unpleasant taste. You can make kratom smoothies, kratom applesauce or kratom macarons.”

Masking the Bitter Taste

The Blog Areas of My Expertise has shared the many ways Kratom is being consumed. Avid users make use of liquids and beverages to ingest the plant based supplement in a more pleasant manner. This is especially true for those who may not want to ingest it via toss and wash. Chocolate Milk and Protein shakes are popular choices.

“Chocolate Milk. Many people swear that mixing Kratom with chocolate milk is delicious.  Just make sure that the milk is cold, as hot milk can ruin the efficacy of Kratom. Protein Shakes -- One unique way of ingesting Kratom, without having to deal with the aftertaste, is to mix it with your protein shake.  This is especially useful if you are an avid gym goer and regularly drink protein shakes.  Plus, the blending of the shake ensures that the powder is completely smooth and isn’t forming lumps in the liquid you now need to swallow.”

Kratom Applesauce

Another great way to mask the unpleasant taste of Kratom is by combining it with applesauce. Kratom Times has shared a Kratom Apple Sauce Recipe and has even made sure that there is a sugar-free version for those who may not be fine with ingesting something sweet. American Kratom Association https://www.americankratom.org/abou-aka.html

“If you want a sugar-free applesauce, Gala, Golden Delicious or Fuji are the most recommendable options. If you intend to add sugar or any other sweetener to your applesauce, McIntosh apples are a great choice. Other apple varieties you can use for your applesauce are Paula Red, Crispin, Gravenstein, Jonathan or Jonamac. Honeycrisp apples, though sweet enough for applesauce, are too crispy. Pink Lady and Granny apples are too firm for the recipe and they also have a slightly tart taste that is not the most appropriate for making applesauce.”

There indeed are a lot of exciting ways to ingest kratom, and make it a more pleasant experience.
